Monstrous Races - Dark Creepers
Okay. If I'm going to do dark creepers in Monstrous Races 2, I'm going to need some base racial stats.
How are these? Too much, too little. I'd like to sneak in a racial bonus to climb and perception as well but that might be too much.
Dark Creeper Racial Stats+2 Dexterity, +2 Wisdom, -2 Charisma: Dark creepers are agile beings with a keen sense of their surroundings and other motive, though they are extremely poor at expressing themselves to others.
Small: Dark creepers are Small creatures and gain a +1 size bonus to their AC, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, a -1 penalty to their Combat Maneuver Bonus and Combat Maneuver Defense and a +4 size bonus on Stealth checks.
Normal Speed: Dark creepers have a base speed of 30 ft.
See in Darkness: A dark creeper can see perfectly in darkness of any kind, including that created by deeper darkness.
Light Blindness: Dark creepers are blinded for 1 round if exposed to bright light, such as sunlight or the daylight spell. Such creatures are dazzled as long as they remain in areas of bright light.
Dark Creeper Magic: Dark Creepers with a Wisdom of 11 or higher gain the following spell-like abilities: 1/day - darkness, at-will - detect magic
Death Throes: When a dark creeper is slain, its body combusts in a flash of bright white light, leaving its gear in a heap on the ground. All creatures within a 10-foot burst must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + ½ character level + Constitution modifier) or be blinded for 1d6 rounds. Other dark creepers within 10 feet are automatically blinded for at least 1 round, due to their light blindness.
Poison Use: Dark creepers are skilled in the use of poison and never risk accidentally poisoning themselves.
Languages: Dark creepers begin play speaking Dark Folk. Dark creepers with high Intelligence scores can choose from the following: Abyssal, Alko, Goblin, Infernal, Terran, and Undercommon.
