July 18th, 2013 Update

So what is new you say? Deus ex Historica (M&M 3e) I've disabled all the sales of the individuals issues in favor of the subscription only. After several months of trying doing single issues I learned that: The sales of individual issues did not warrant the time spent on them. The nature of the individual issues resulted in layout that was not attractive and ultimately was not work I was proud of as the primary layout person for Purple Duck Games. So changes have been made. The layout has been tightened a lot and each of the pages has a much more consistent feel. Here are a couple of two page spreads to give you a sense of the new look. Under this model, most heroes or villains get three pages (two for background and one for statistics). On some of the hero or villain teams each member may only get two pages instead. This file is being uploaded to the subscription every Friday (check your downloads) and it is a work-in-progress, meaning that Perry, Don, and I still need to do ...

Thankfully we are out of May and finally into June. I'm coming up to my annual holidays in a couple of weeks and with then be able to devote almost full-time effort to Purple Duck Games and 4 Winds Fantasy Gaming products. 4 Winds Fantasy Gaming It has been quite on the 4 Winds Fantasy Gaming from the last couple of weeks as I've been working on finishing up Purple Mountain IV: The Magmadome and on a number of day job projects that have been completely consuming my spare time. That will change this week however because we are back to work on 4WFG stuff and should be releasing three things this week. First off there will be two new Deus ex Historica releases featuring two superhero teams of the silver age--The Second Chance Squad and The Watchful Gaze. The Second Chance Squad Secondly, we have finally made some movement on getting Bestiary II - Monster Knowledge Cards produced. What is even more awesome is that the cards will actually be cards through the DriveThruCards progra...

And then it was the end of May...

Sometimes I just don't know where the time goes over here in the Purple Duck Games bunker. For a while I was really consistent on updating the blog at least once a week. Obviously I fell of that schedule so its time to catch up.  Top Publisher List at Rpgnow Today for the first time since we began publishing books, we have made the top publisher list on Rpgnow's front page. I say, we made it, but really, you made it happen with your support of our Pathfinder, Dungeon Crawl Classics, Labyrinth Lord, Icons, 4C, and stock art releases.  To celebrate, I've put all Purple Duck Games products and all 4 Winds Fantasy Gaming products up for sale at Rpgnow and shop.d20pfsrd.com for 25% off. This sale will continue until June 1st only, so do not hesitate to pick up your missed items. New from Purple Duck Games From Purple Duck Games we have released three short products.  In 2011,  4 Winds Fantasy Gaming  released the  Tome of Monsters  for the Pathf...

As I am trapped in my yard yet again, with both snow plows completely broken there is very little I can do right now so it seemed like a perfect time to update the site with all the changes that have been occurring. Deus ex Historica Mother Bear I by Kate Bradley In the last two weeks we've managed to get out six more character from the Deus ex Historica series. They are Jumping Jack and Jill , Lariat , Radar Man , Midnight and Mist , Troubleshooter , and Mother Bear I . We are working our way through the whole of the book. I think right now we are on about page 65-70 of this beast so we are not even 1/3 of the way through this massive release. ( Subscription ) If all goes well we should have another two characters in this series up on Sunday, and four more next week. In April, we will be leaving the Golden Age of Comics and moving into the Silver Age. Paths of Power II: Paths of Blood Now that we have a rhythm for Deus ex Historica, I'm working on trying to move more and more ...
